Six showers today……..I think I’m clean!!!

I hadn’t even made it into the bathroom yet!

My first shower came after I tripped & fell over the mat outside the back door (that’s been there long enough for me to know & remember it’s there) when I was headed out front to water my flower beds. I need to cut through the garage to get my gear. We recently got a new sprinkler so I wanted to see how it worked. I hadn’t intended on ‘putting it to work’ on myself but that’s what happened. That was shower 1. Shower 2 came when I attempted to move the sprinkler to another bed. I wised up the next time out and turned off the water before I moved the sprinkler. I got it all placed, turned on the water and when I went to check on it the sprinkler had moved (I’m guessing water pressure) and I got sprayed again. That was 3.

Four, five and six came in the back yard experimenting with the different angles and directions the sprinkler could be adjusted. My hair still had product in it from the school event the day before so when the water blew up into my face……………..ahhhhh my hair was so pretty!

A wonderful teaching day with students & meeting new friends!

It was indeed a great day!  I’d made plans with Janelle Meredith from Oregon Impact to speak at one of our local schools. When she came to get me she said plans had changed and asked if I was willing to go to two schools plus a W.I.N. (Women In Networking) lunch meeting. The group is [...]

I just wanna go…………….!

I had an acupuncture appointment today with Doug Wingate of Parkway Acupuncture. It was at Essental Elements in Sellwood where he has his office in Sellwood. I was ready early and waiting for Lift so I turned on the TV and caught a brief glimpse of the news. During that glimpse I saw & heard that Lift drivers [...]

St. Mary’s Academy & Oregon Impact’s SIDNE car.

Or. Impact’s SIDNE (Simulated Intoxicted Driving Experience) car at St. Mary’s Academy. The SUIDN  This was quite a morning & learning experience for the girls at my Alma mater St. Mary’s Academy. While the driver experiences to drive while impaired (impairment is controlled by a trained volunteer) the passenger sees what the driver feels by wearing [...]

A great day with my sis and 2 good friends

I had a brief meeting with my good friend Joanne Fairchild from Trauma Nurse Talk Tough this morning. Phewwwww

Wowee what a day so far and it’s only 2:00! I’ve been contacting wineries for a wine donation to add to the wine wall we’ll be auctioning off at Oregon Impact’s benefit golf tournament. Seems like with every call I’m learning something so the next call ‘hopefully’ goes a bit smoother. The call may go [...]

Great friends – Great eats!!

Husband & I ate lunch today courtesy of the Ram restaurant in Wilsonville. The restaurant isn’t open yet, it opens to the public on April 30th. This was a thank-you for sharing my story when I went there with Janelle Meredith of Oregon Impact last week. It’s so real it’s horrific – a GREAT teaching tool!!

Clackamas HS crash reenactment 4-27-12  These are really tough to participate in however if I can save just one life it’s well worth my being uncomfortable for a few hours. Although I don’t remember our crash (miracles of the brain) my body does. Also, to hear the skidding, the crunching metal, the screams and the sirens of [...]
